So this summer i'm starting to arrange plans to go back to the place where i was born (DE) and while i'm there i also plan on attending Dominator. After living in the states for 17 years I have a few questions about the event.
first basic one, will my US I.D. work for the event?
I just want to make sure because with the events i help produce over here we do not allow foreign I.D.'s.

Second, what happens if it rains the day of the festival?
I'd hate to spend money taking a train from bayern to Benelux and have the festival be cancelled or something due to weather...
I've asked a couple of people this and the only answer i got was.. "rain? in the summer? in NL? no way"

I'd love it if someone could answer this and I hope to see some of you there!

@ Forrestfire your U.S i.d should be ok,i travelled from Australia last year to attend Decibel outdoor & Mysteryland festivals & i was not asked for i.d at either of the events,as for the rain,if it rains it rains there's not much you can do about that,i have never heard of an event being cancelled due to rain, unless ofcourse it's a hurricane or cyclone which i don't think happens very often if at all in the Netherland haha.

shit i've never seen an event video where it is raining either. it's just something that i'd love to know what would happen if something horrid happens.

As Paul told you, your ID should be fine, otherwise show your drivers license. It's only to prove you're 18 or older. And for the other question: Rain won't stop the Dutchies!!!

I've experienced rain a couple of times, but events by organising companies such as Q-dance aren't cancelled once they're officially announced :)

Outdoor festivals always have a large stock of rain suits at the bars, just in case (search for Dj Frontliner on the Qontinent 2010 if you want to see the poncho party).

And indeed, your ID is probably fine, and take your drivers licence just in case, but they'll never deny an american acces due to something like that :) + I guess your age is not around 18 any more so they won't doubt you anyways

How should I describe him, in dutch we would say 'hij loopt niet naast z'n schoenen'. I think it's best explained that he's very noble and social even with such a reputation :)

    @ ForrestFire
Your American I.D. will definately work, i mean i guess your date of birth is on it so no probs... But to be completely sure you can always take your drivers license with you.

And about the rain: I honestly don't think it'll rain that time of year here, been living here for 18 years now and around that time of year, rain is very rare... But if it rains, it won't be cancelled, i can assure you. Don't worry. Just go and have fun, it's worth the money ;)

Hehe, if it rains, the festival probably will continue ;)
Usually you have enough tents to evoid the rain ;)

And the best thing you could do to get the answer of your ID, is to mail to Q-dance or/and customerservice@paylogic.nl (ticket service)

    Goodluck ;)
