Is it because here we also have companies that do that stuff here. Like Daisy Carnival from Insomniac Event, and such. I know Def-Qon1 in Austie, but not much major events happen there..

LOL the honest reason is because it'd be a waste of money. To get ravers to come to a hardstyle/hardcore event is someting that takes time. You can't give everyone trance, electro, and house for 15 years then come in saying "hey, here is an amazing festival full of sounds you've never heard and probably don't like because you like it too soft"
    thats not going to happen.
as far as texas, we are making a big leep forward in our hard dance scene. With the city of houston being the leader of texas, we throw a hard dance only event once a season and it averages around 1k-1.5k people. we also recently brought frontliner which was a great thin to see. hope this answered your question.

I think Q-dance won't go to the U.S for a major festival unless they are guaranteed at least 10,000-20,000 in attendance (like Australia),it's not worth the massive logistics for them, don't forget Australia has been hosting Dutch Hard dj's since the early 1990's,there dj's & there music is not new to us Aussie's.

I think it would be worth seeing what ticket sells would do over here in the states. some heavy advertising would be needed I would think.
If Qlimax was to come to the states id skip my own wedding to attend.

Honestly, as much as I would love a q-dance event in the states I cannot see it happening. I know at least in the northeast especially when going into the city any electro/club music is very very soft compared to the dutch scene. Also, compare the music at Ultra, a huge event in the states, to the music from a q-dance event. The dance scene here is simply way to soft and for whatever reason people seem to go crazy for it. On a different topic I remember years back sensation white put a spot in the U.S on their tour list but soon took it off before announcing anything.

Q-dance isn't like a company with hunderds of employees :)

They're fully occupied with the projects they organise each year, and it's hard to add a major event to that. Even though there's no 'feestfabriek' and 'inqontrol' this year, defqon IS going to be 1,5x as big, and they're developing new concepts as announced.

Secondly, there's never been any big hardstyle / hardcore event in the states as far as we dutch people know. Not like the ones in Holland. If they plan to organise a 40.000 people event, and noone shows up, it's a waste of time / money. So indeed, as posted above, the preference of the states will slowly have to grow towards harder music, because there honestly isn't that much demand as you think, sadly.

Now a lot of people argue that the US rave scene is stuck in that silly trance phase and now this odd merge of emo-ness and i dont even know what lol. ANYWAY...the point.... the point is that when I play hardstyle stuff at parties, i mean any party, it literally eats their ears and they love it. lol ...so the other point. Q-Dance advertises for a year or so about a US/Canada show then does it. :D

I think the real problem though is that Q-Dance no likey the USA. >:|
I want to buy a shirt or CD or anything to rep q-dance and hardstyle. But i cant. Why you ask? Because the q-store no like teh US....
If not a North American Tour or show...at least give us the store lol ARG
