Hello.

I live in Norway and I'm going to travel to Qlimax with some mates for the first time. There are no direct-flights to Eindhoven, so we have to travel to Amsterdam first. Are there buses or trains which leaves for Gelredome regularly? Would you recommend booking a hotel in Amsterdam or Eindhoven?

Take the train from Amsterdam to Arnhem.

I have a similar question. Is the airport in Weeze (germany) close enough to arnhem? I was thinking i will fly to Weeze and take a bus to Arnhem. Does that sound good or is it too far away?

If you go by car, it is like 1,5 hour

well, im gonna stay in Amsterdam,
from quick look i saw there is lot of trains to Arnhem and then u can take simple bus for the gelerdome.
and its not that far away.

i dont know about that i believe there will be.
anyway there are buses for gelerdome each 15 min by normal.

yep there will be busses who bring you to the gelredome from the train station! its easy because you will see a lott of party people so you simply can't miss the busses!

from weeze to arnhem = 1 hour by car
from amsterdam to arnhem = 1.5 /2 hours by car.

or figure out a way to get to arnhem centraal (trainstation) and take the bus that should take about 10/20 minutes to get at gelredome.
and yes there are enoug special partybusses.

i self go by bike:) 20 min away from my house, so im lucky that i dont have to travel that far.

Is hotel/motel/inn cheap in Arnhem? Afaik, it was possible to book hotel for the weekend with the qlimax ticket. Was it a good deal?

We are also staying at Amsterdam like we did last year. It was very easy get to Arnhem. Train traffic from Amsterdam to Arnhem is good and last year return ticket costs ~30e. When you leave the train from Arnhem you will see lots of party people and the qlimax busses. Busses are coming and leaving all the time so there is no problem.

Hello,

I was wondering if there are extra train in the morning for Qlimax? I need to go back to Amsterdam @ about 4 am and on ns.nl the first train is only @7:30 am

Is it more train in the morning and during the night (from/to) Amsterdam for Qlimax? Because the 1st train is @7.30am and I think it's not enough for 10000000000000000 people.

Weeze to Arnhem = 1 hour by car. Bad train/bus transport to Arnhem

Amsterdam to Arnhem by train = 1,5 hour. Train leaves every 30 minutes. Last train to Amsterdam leaves around 02:00 and the first around 7:00. So I think everybody will take the 07:00 train to Amsterdam.

Their are enough hotels and also hostels in Arnhem.

For myself it's easy because I live in the citycenter of Arnhem so I can walk 20 minutes to Gelredome. So for all the skandinavian girls who want to sleep over.... your welcome

We're going to arrive at Schiphol, and travel to Gelredome by train, after some eating and drinking in Amsterdam (in walking distance to the train station).

A) Whats the cheapest way to get from the airport to the area downtown with the train station (Dam Square, Waterloo-Pleim, Nieuw Markt etc)
B) How far is it? With cab, bus ...
C) Any good place to grab a bite and have a drink in walking distance from the train station?
D) How far is it from the train station in Arnhem to the Qlimax hotel?
Never been to the Netherlands before .. This is going to be fun!

A) go with the train to amsterdam Central from there its a 5min walk, just go with the flow and you will arive at the dam
B) See A
C) Teasers:P there are multiple options for you there you 'll be fine;)
D) It's just 2kilometers from the station to your hotel and just 4km from the hotel to Qlimax

What I meant in B, was: how long does the train from the airport to Amsterdam Central take?
Is it very expesive with cabs in Netherlands? How much for 3 persons from the train station to the Qlimax hotel (2km)? 10 euro? 20? 30?

From schiphol to amsterdam will take about 15min by train, you can check the scedule at www.ns.nl ,in the above right corner you can change the language to english (probably easier for you;))
cabs aren't cheap but it should not cost you more then 10€ if they ask more just walk, i'll be happy to send you a detailed map and discription on how to walk to the hotel.

I come from Denmark and will also go with airplane to Amsterdam. Sundday morning i will take the train from Arnhem to Amsterdam. We could also share a taxi, but i think its too expensive, but maybe if we are 4 its okay

How big is Arnhem? Any chance of going out drinking?
As far as I know, Qlimax lasts way longer than I probably can handle; is it possible (and usual) to go out to eat and rest a little while during the event?

Sorensenn: We'll be happy to share a cab, we'll probably take a train around 9 or something from Amsterdam Central to Arnhem.

okay, i am still trying to find one to travel with from Denmark bacause i have one extra ticket.
Do you stay in Arnhem after the party or when do you have to fligt back ?
In Arnmhem you have nice places to go out so of course you can go. I have been for Qlimax 5 times.
Yes you can go out from the "hall" in Gelredome, but you can not go outside the Stadium totally.
