    Hi guyz,

I am living in Montreal since last december. I come from France.
    I knew Q-Dance 8 years ago.

I often wonder if Q-Dance will come in North America !!!!
I think Q-Dance can try his first time in the Montreal aera. This is a multiethnic aera (american, european, australian, asian,...).
Montreal is a festive city, the people like to go dancing at night on electro music. They will probably love Hardstyle, trance,.., event !!

    So.. why not ??
Is it really expensive to test it ?? Great loss of money ??
    I don't really realize.

And if it works ?? Why not New York as next step ??

    Cya guyz

    God bless Q-Dance ;)

You have a min. of 10.000-15.000 people who listen to hs in an area of 500-1000km of montreal? than "maybe" you have the chance to get an event there. but if there are only a few people who will fill a local disco....mhh than it's bad to make there an event

Nah, I think that it would be better to keep hardstyle in Europe. It would be a big hassle to organize more events in a far-away country. But if you want a hardstyle-event that badly, why don't you try to find someone who shares the interest and organize it yourself?

Hardstyle Comes to canada all the time in vancouver / edmonton, I have been to showtek, d block, noisecontrollers, tone shifterz, Dj isaac, But it would be way to much work to bring in all the djs at once for a big event like defqon 1, You just have to hop on a plane and go to europe like i am this year.

I think bringing Q-Dance to N. America would be an awesome idea. I've lived in New York my whole life. The whole hardstyles, house, trance scene has hit hard. And that whole thing about we all listen to rap, and that is true but ALOT of people listen to hardstyle, and house music AS WELL as rap. Even the rappers rap about poppin "beans", or being "geeked up", or even just straight out rollin'. Bring it over here and you won't regret it!

I might be wrong as im from Australia but i have noticed that alot of rappers & r&b artists(chris brown, snoop dog, eminem etc) are doing dance music now,is it because there's more money in dance music & also more popular in the European market.I think it's about time Q-dance did something either in New York or L.A,But will you & others be prepared to travel across the country to attend.

I'm noticing the exact same thing. I'm not too sure on this being a good development. Imagine Hardstyle (or a probably a toned down version) going commercial in The US the same way that Hardcore did in the 90's... Imagine a R&B artist voicecomputing his hardstyle rip-off to nr. 1 in the charts... Imagine all those without their own opinion being drawn into this. There we stand, surrounded by mindless teens, in a empty shell of what once was a pure style, now ripped apart by Universal Music and friends....

On the other hand it might be healthy and inevitable to see a style evolve just like Hardstyle evolved from a few renegade hardcore artists that dared to be different (Dana, Pavo).

I really do hope our US and Canadian friends get the chance to experience the immense Q-dance parties like Defqon 1 and Qlimax over there. But apart from the profit concerns there is also the way the general population still looks at "raves" over there (USA mainly). Police crackdowns of raves aren't rare from what I understand. While in The Netherlands there always is a "bible bus" at big parties, you have hardcore (ignorant) evangelists in the USA, who still have a huge lobby in politics over there. As soon as they hear the word "rave"... fill in the blanks. It will be a while till a paradigm shift will occur in my opinion.

Having said that, I must add that I’m from The Netherlands and rely on a few American friends as sources + my general interest in the political landscape of The USA. So you may question my objectivity :).
