If Q-Dance was too hold Q-Base here in Australia, what airport would you consider having it at?

For me I would choose Bankstown Airport, NSW. Due to the layout and hangar configuration. Would be an ideal location but I dont think they would allow it there

What would be your suggestions?

the pierce air base in WA would be perfect because of the layout and space...........but lyk you said...dnt think the RAAF would approve LOL!

Although i would love to see it at Richmond RAAF heaps of massive hangers and also its only a stones throw away from me and the train line is right next to it for public transport

i think @bankstown because you would have more chance of holding it there because it is not a RAAF nor a heavy commercial Airport

Yeah Bankstown seems to be a good spot.

Some day we 'may' get Q-Base. Would be unreal I think but long time coming for that.

The fact that it is Australia's busiest airport by aircraft movements may make it a problem.

Good location though.

Isnt the airport where they have Qbase in Holland fairly busy though?

Q-base is always held in germany & i'm pretty sure it is a disused airport.

Q Base is held in Airport Weeze in Germany, the civilian airport is still used but the old RAF base to the north (the site of Q Base) is disused.

Mind the caps please,it makes it even harder to read that way!

It will be held in .DE i think as it always was.And if it would be an other location,we would already know.Because that is not something you replace in a few days.(other loaction)

I noticed this in pictures and videos from last years Q-Base. You could see plenty of planes taxing, landing and taking off in the background.

It would be awesome though!

it would be such a hard event to pull off in australia. the air strip would most definately have to be out of service... it happens as such i think there is a smaller grade air field (with hangars!) up newcastle way, that is no longer in active business. nowhere near as big as something in a capital city, but really would do the job quite nicely! aaaahhh.. only time will tell!!

I was mentioning in another thread another possible airport and that would be Camden Airport, NSW. Not too far from Campbelltown.

They film the Australian version of 'Top Gear' there, have the audience and show filmed inside the hangers and the airport also lets them race around supercars around the taxiways and runways (like the UK version), to post lap times.

Only other airport I could think of really...
