Hi, new member here. Sorry if im posting in the wrong section, or if a thread already exists.

I will be attending Qlimax 2010 this year and ofcourse i want to film it to share it with my friends etc. I have seen a lot of videos on youtube that people have filmed themselves, and the most common problem is that the sound gets very distorted due to the high bass, sometimes to the point where its unwatchable.

I know professional cameras are not allowed, but i wonder if anyone can recommend me a good camera with looong battery life, swapable memory, and good microphone so the bass doesnt distort the sound. HOWEVER, i dont want it to be the opposite, where the microphone doesnt record no bass at all (the sound becomes "flat" and boring)

This guy seems to have a great camera, good picture and excellent sound:

So, if anyone has any experience with this, could you share your recommendations please.

Thanks, and have a great time :D

This year at events like Defqon.1 & Q-BASE it's allowed to bring video camera's and also pro camera's.

I don't know yet if this also means for Qlimax...

Filmed in the Gashouder in Amsterdam, an old industry building were the bass is pumping as loud as possible, with the same camera.
A good measure for sound quality

Filmed at Awakenings Festival with also de DMC-TZ7
Look at the quality of the picture, doesn't get any better than this.

There is allready a newer version of this model, but i don't know if the sound and picture quality is similar. You would think it does, but newer doesn't always means better.

You can type in a brand and model on Youtube and try to find footage of party's. So you can get a good opinion before you buy.

    good luck.
