Hey, some friends have recently told me about the producers competition thats on the home page. I've been working on a track all day for about 3 days now. I was wondering if there are any age restrictions to enter this competition. Because I'm not old enough to go to defqon. Is it any different if you're "playing" at defqon?

hello Q-dance, i do not have a question but i have a suggestion.
I suggest you suggest the program FL Studio, as it suggests that it is a good suggestion because it makes it easier to make songs and beats. so thank you for listening to my suggestion for you to suggest.....

    LOL

Music is music, and no one should be ashamed of what media is used to create it. as long as your idea is put down somehow that's all that matters.

I started producing with a 486 66Mhz running a TB303 Emulator, and Hammerhead drum emulator recorded to a VCR, then re recorded back into the PC for editing and adding other samples before it was finalized. and put on my 2nd CD.

if there is a will to make music, there is a way, and there is no perfect way to make your tunes.

I have to ask though, are the judges concerned about whether or not the program used to produce music was legally purchased? Some DJs on other forums seem to have pirated programs (why they brag about it, I don't know).

as a producer you should be ashamed cause if you new anything about audio engineering like other producers you wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole... i agree with the other comment above.. logic and tools ftw the algorithms for anti aliasing is perfect in each case.. that being said i understand that those programs are expensive, but they really are industry standard for a reason
