Hey guys, as you will be aware by now that there is no early/oldschool arena at defqon 1 Australia this year and has been replaced by a minimal/techno arena. I myself am disappointed with this change to the programme, i reckon they should have had both because i really think that early/oldschool has more significance to hard dance than minimal tek does, after all the roots of hardstyle comes from early & oldschool hardcore, maybe Q want to save some cash by not have as many internationals this time around,by the way what do you guys think of the line up,i reckon it was better last year more internationals i think, anyway what do you guys reckon EARLY/OLDSCHOOL or MINIMAL/TECHNO.

well really, the new addition to the show is the BLUE arena, which is a 2nd hardstyle stage. n i prefer more hardstyle WAY MORE than listenin to some old skool stuff. this year's lineup blows last year's out of the water! although a few more returns from last years lineup would have been nice!

@ g-luv,yes i know there is the new blue hardstyle arena (hardstyle is not a new genre at Q events), but that was not my question, infact the new edition is the green arena featuring for the first time techno, minimal & psy-trance,the question was do you prefer early/oldschool or minimal/psy-trance.

I do prefer LESS hardstyle, the main (RED) should be enough.

So instead of BLUE they should stick to GREY.

well defqon.1 is predominantly a hardstyle event. 2 hardstyle stages is absolutely kick ass

no grey area at Defqon.1 Australia = fail.

That's the problem with most 'raves' / music festivals in Oz, they cater too much for the kiddies. =/

There are still plenty of people out there that love the scene and are a bit older. And yes! We still love hearing the classics.
