A Know what u mean mate! Because its becoming More well Known its becoming More Commercialised Cheese (Showtek are the best exaple of it)

Altho in sayin it I cant see Zany or Tatanka etc ever going down the same road.

Lets hope 2010 will be another great year 4 Hardstyle!

At raves I started listening to mainly breaks and house with a hint of hip-hop, hardstyle is a fairly new thing for me, and I am definately liking the energy, its fun no doubt.

Its a little thing called NuStyle

Music is constantly evolving and its an never-ending process. This applies to all genres of music. Hardstyle becoming commercialized - is debatable but I dont see that happening any time soon. Yes, Showtek are the PRIME examples of this and quite frankly just look like idiots for even "trying". Now they have got some producers here and there trying to make it commerical and its just not gonna happen. Dont think it would suit your everyday "video hits" or MTV show in the mornings now would it?

In the Netherlands it may be commercial (correct me if I'm wrong) but thats understandable. They are just dance music orientated and Q-Dance is a very big thing over there. Anywhere else its not.

Bit off topic, but back on topic I think we should see some harder stuff. Defiently going back to the old roots of hardstyle - what is was really about. Now its becoming cheesey and "trancey". To be honest, some of it is really good. I really dont mind the NuStyles so dont get me wrong. But I do love and enjoy just pure banging hardstyle.

Some producers still keep their old ways and produce stuff thats a mixture of new and old, but still sounding new and fresh but not forgetting how it SHOULD sound. Its a tough challenge for them but like I said, music is ever evolving and its something we all have to accept and go along with.

yes sublimer i agree it has got cheesey but i think in the future it will get harder again, if you have noticed decibel outdoor(which i will attend) will introduce an 11th area at this years event totally dedicated to the raw side of hardstyle,is this a prediction for the future,i hope so.

i reckon they shouldnt commercialise hardstyle. by doing so it loses is substance, its morals and all its enigma. look at RnB. That shit pollutes the airways and is so flimsy in its morals. RnB is made 100% for profit. (according to them they got money in da bank) Is this really the way hardstyle should go? no let hardstyle be made for the right reasons (for the love of the music) not for shawtys muni in da bank.

Hardstyle comes out when its RnB's bedtime

I see what u mean. I replied to a similar topic in the Dutch section of the forum, check it out if u wana see my opinion. On another note, I f*cking hate showtek ! Only people who show any interest in them around my area are those attending there 1st gig and who have no idea about proper music whatsoever, no offence to any Showtek fans on here but the majority of there fans aren't even 'in it for the love of the music' u might say :)

Bikmuni definitely has a point there. I like how my friends can say;"hey, what are you listening to?" and i say;"Nothing you'd know". Its a bit secret, thats what I like. Before I got into hardstyle I liked House, but its on the radio so much now, its not the same as it was two years ago. I don't want Hardstyle to go down the same road as house has.

    I'm having a deja vu.

Back in the days it started with hardcore which was followed by happy hardcore.
Now there's hardstyle and it's followed by happy hardstyle :(

Sure critici;ll stay, but I hate Headhunterz for what he did to Hardstyle. It his fault creates music that does not remind me of my hs beginning when I started listening to this music, for example, sets of qlimax 2003, 2004, 2005 ... Pila, Luna, Pavo ... ehh those times never come back ...

If it wasnt for Showtek 2 years ago, i would never have got into hardstyle though. Now i travel from UK across Europe to Q-Dance Events and i love it.

Ok i do love Brennan Heart, Headhunterz, Wildestylez is ok, i also love Technoboy, Noisecontrollers but also Zatox, Zany, Alpha2.

You people shouldnt judge who people can and can't like, who is hardstyle/'nu'style etc.

Q-Dance events are the best i have ever witnessed, the atmosphere generated is unreal and there is plenty of choice of the best producers/djs around.

We can all enjoy which artists we like, and which ever twist on hardstyle they perform.

In short, Showteks popularity brought hardstyle to the masses, now they are doing there own thing Q-Dance have an influx of new, loyal fans who appreciate what they do for us. There should not be this kind of snobbery from some 'old' hardstyle fans. Theres no need.
