so im assuming you guys would have started planning for this years defqon, or would be starting soon...
so far iv traveled to NSW to go to both and i just wanted to say two things..

1, the stupid song. i cant be the only one who hates that both songs have referred to "defqon down under", we dont refer to our selves as being from down under so i just find it irritating that we need to be labeled that way.. why cant ya's just make a good song without referring to it being for "down under"

The other things about Aussie DJ's.. australia has some pretty good dj's and some damn good producers now so why cant we get the good ones on the main stage... for instances toneshifterz were there last year, theyve made some of the best hardstyle songs i heard in 2010 yet they where relegated to to one of the smaller stages.
Granted i could walk to the other stage and watch them but its an Aussie event so why cant i see the big Aussie names on the main stage..

anyway all in all i had a blast the last 2 years and will probably go this year.. hope someone who matters reads this and takes it on board

im from down under and i refer to it as "down under" or "oz" or "AU" .
i travel a fair bit including holland and people refer to us as down under , it makes a shit load of sense and i think its better then being referred to as the wankers that go oy, oy ,oy.

dont know who toneshifters are but there are down under dj playing main stage.

there are a lot of Ozzies playing (Vjing and Djing) and working (production) for Q-dance inc defqon in NL and else where in the world for that matter,

so i think sharing is caring ,but what would i know

Totally agree with that; i want to see some more OZ DJ's too.

Hey Q-Dance! I have some suggestions for Defqon.1 this year!

- Keep the awesome parties rocking! Maybe bring some Multi-Coloured lasers instead of just green
- A better or bigger selection of drinks. Keep the token system going it rules!
- Check the ID at the DOOR Only, Whats the point of checking for ID at entry to give a wrist band, and then asking again repeatedly at the bar (A little better in 2010, but 2009 I got asked almost every time). Kinda ruins the speed benefits of the token system. If they have a wrist band, they would not be underage.
- It took a very long time to exit last year, Almost 2 hours. Surely this could be improved.
- And last but not least, Crank Up the Bass!

Hey all,I agree and disagree with the whole Aus Dj thing... yes we do have some amazing acts which we get to see at our smaller events and stuff which I love =) and yeah maybe we should have them play at the main stage buttttt how often do we actually get to see all the amazing acts from NL??? Hardly ever! sooo I see why they are at mainstage =)
And the 'stupid song' really who cares! you hear it like once the whole day so whatever although I do enjoy it =)
I agree with the whole ID thing too, and more drinks =) I didn't even drink last year just because it was waaayyy hot

annnd I owuld like to praise Qdance because this last summer, I have gone to almost every music festival and 90% alls you can hear is static, music from the other stages, blown speakers ect and alls myself and my friends did all day was compare it to Qdance sound haha and how we had never experienced any of that at any Qdance event =)

My suggestions are-much bigger hardcore arena possibly outdoor arena,get rid of that green arena(ambient tek) or make the dj's spin real pounding techno as it should be,too many day tripper posers (look how tuff i look with my shirt off fuckwits) but i suppose we can't help that one !

Outdoor for ORANGE would be better too.
Less sitting, more dancing.

The GREEN was pretty awesome for a ear-relaxing moment.
But you're right about the soft techno they played.
Throw in some Schranz instead.

Not only OZ names, but 50% would be nice.

And why do they close the bars that early?

Q-dance does not control the time the bars close. It's government rules and restrictions.

It was a huge surprise to me everything was closed suddenly!

Still had a pocket full of tokens and was even carrying around some cans.

If there is a ferris wheel again this year can it run at night. Me and a few other ambassadors I know missed their ride as we didn't realise it was going to stop when it got dark.

Hoping for another chance homma.

I am raised dy dutch dj's, and i miss those dutch dj's after moving to oz.. I wanna hear the dutch play...
They aren't here very often.
You can go to the aussie dj's all you want, they perform plenty around here..

So mayby a 60-40 mix ? (60=dutch offcourse..)

I'm only saying I'M IN HOLLAND.

Didn't say i was dutch.

Melbourne isn't my fav city on the planet so i prefer the festival stays in Sydney.
